Your pupillary distance or "PD" is the distance between the centers of your pupils expressed in millimeters. Far PD is when you are looking straight ahead. Near PD is when you are looking at a close up object. It is usually around 60-65 millimeters. We use the binocular PD on our form. You may see your PD expressed monocularly i.e. 31/30.5 or 31.5/29. If this is the case add the numbers together to get your binocular PD i.e. 61.5 or 60.5 and use that for your PD on our form. Upon check-out you will be given the opportunity to comment enter your monocular PD at that time and we will use that to fabricate your lenses.
The pupillary distance is needed to fabricate your lenses. Sometimes you may not find it on your written prescription. Your eye care provider should be able to provide you with this number. Many of our customers have obtained their PD by calling the last place that they purchased their glasses
